Meet the Founder
From Regular care to Premium hospitality
The step from standard care to premium hospitality requires not only absolute expertise, but often begins with a personal vision.

The founder
When founder Mariska was looking for a place for her own cats fifteen years ago, she found only traditional addresses where the cat's space and natural freedom were severely restricted.
​
Kyaros
Driven by the conviction that things had to be fundamentally different (and above all, of higher quality), she laid the foundation for Kyaros in 2011. What began as a conscious choice for a small-scale setting with just one carefully furnished room quickly grew into a trusted address for high-quality care.

Specialized
While the cat is often simply viewed as an independent animal, Mariska looks at its actual needs. Drawing on her specialization in behavior and professional grooming, she designs accommodations where stress is proactively prevented and the guest's freedom of choice is central.

New construction
This principle already formed the successful basis for the architectural new construction of the Kyaros site in Krimpen aan de Lek in 2022.

Luxury Catsuites
Now, with over a decade of refined experience and the approaching opening of Luxury Catsuites in Krimpen a/d IJssel, she is taking the next exclusive step in premium hospitality.
This concept is her direct answer to the increasing demand for absolute privacy and one-on-one attention. A finely thought-out private domain where the cat's familiar rhythm is always the guiding principle, so that you can entrust the care to us with complete peace of mind.
Would you like to treat your cat to a stay of this caliber while you travel? The first reservations for the Luxury Catsuites are now open. To guarantee peace and one-on-one attention, the number of suites is limited. Book in advance and depart with complete peace of mind.

Microchipped and registered
If needed, we can arrange this for you.

Neutered / spayed
Neutered males are always welcome.
Females are also welcome if not spayed.
Male kittens welcome up to 6 months old. After that, a trial may be possible (if a cat starts spraying, it must be picked up immediately).
​
Flea and worm treatment
One week before arrival.
​
Vaccinations
Your cat must be fully and currently vaccinated upon arrival.
Without valid proof of vaccination, we cannot accept your cat, regardless of the reason.
​
It is up to the veterinarian to decide when a vaccination needs to be repeated; this will be shown in the vaccination booklet/passport and is always the leading reference.
​
Cat flu (upper respiratory disease) – mandatory: Administered between 3 weeks and 1 year before the pickup date; if a booster is needed, your vet will note it in the vaccination booklet and it must be given 1 week before the start date.
​
Panleukopenia (feline distemper) – mandatory: administered no earlier than 1 week and no later than 3 years before the pickup date.
Bordetella – not mandatory, preferably not. If administered anyway: at least 6 weeks before the start of the stay.
Your cat must be healthy. For cats with diabetes or other special care needs, we refer you to Kyaros in Krimpen aan de Lek.
Book your stay
Because we consciously choose a small-scale setting, a low-stimulus environment, and personal attention, our number of private suites is limited. We therefore advise you to book your stay well in advance (especially for the high season and holidays).
